Opposition chief Raila flies out of the country again

Opposition Leader Raila Odinga has flown out of the country for an official trip. His office has communicated through a statement.

Homenews.co.ke desk has learnt that the African Union High Representative for Infrastructure who left the country early Wednesday October 28th for Democratic Republic of Congo DRC will take two days before he returns to Kenya.

His communication Director Dennis Onyango updated Kenyans that he(Mr. Odinga) will be meeting with President Felix Tshisekedi for deliberations on the progress of the multimillion Grand Inga Hydropower project.

As reported, Mr. Odinga will be drumming support for the project which is supposed to benefit the entire continent. It is aimed at unlocking the largest power scheme with a plan to see the entire African continent stabilize in power supply.

The multimillion power project is said to be the largest in Africa as far as power production is concerned and which Kenyan government has been in full support of.

Odinga and the Congo leader have been in a leadership relationship for quite some time and word has it that the Congo leader will be reciprocating the visit to Kenya very soon.

During Felix Tshisekedi inauguration, President Uhuru Kenyatta was the only delegate from Kenya who attended the event which several other African leaders from across the continent including Zimbabwe, Malawi, South Africa, Ethiopia, Sudan etc were invited most of who chose to send representatives.

Mr. Odinga missed the event but was well represented by President Uhuru Kenyatta.
