Thursday, June 30, 2022 –Raila Odinga has sharply responded to wild claims by Kenya Kwanza team that all ports in the country had been sold out to a foreigner.
Odinga, through his campaign spokesman Prof Makau Mutua, on Wednesday June 29 faulted Musalia Mudavadi and Moses Wetang’ula for invoking his name in matters government when it is obvious that the ruling Jubilee government belongs to two persons – Uhuru and Ruto.
“I have consulted with Raila about the matter. He has undoubtedly dismissed this allegation with the contempt they deserve,” Mutua said.
Furthermore, Mutua reminded them that their days are numbered since August 9 is only one month away and they should not start diverting attention to unnecessary claims which they cannot substantiate in court.
“This latest attempt, like many others, is uncalled for and unbecoming of a side picking anything and everything to shore up their dwindling numbers.
“Still, they must cease defamatory allegations that continue to feature during the public engagement,” Mutua further responded.
In Mombasa on Wednesday June 29, ANC Party leader Musalia Mudavadi released an official statement alleging that both President Uhuru Kenyatta and Raila Odinga had conspired and illegally sold the three major ports of Mombasa, Lamu, and Kisumu, to a Dubai-based Port World FZE.
The two Kenya Kwanza principals would then promise to go to court to sue the State for doing business with public property.
