Thursday, June 30, 2022 –Again, the Commission for University Education CUE has revoked Johnson Sakaja’s Team University Degree.
Through a letter addressed to the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission IEBC today, CUE Secretary General Mwendwa Ntarangwi confirmed having reached to Sakaja with the information and he was aware with this latest development.
He also said his United Democratic Alliance UDA Party was full aware with this report because they had already informed the party leadership.
However, CUE has left a chance for Sakaja to appeal this decision in court if he wanted as the law stipulates in the Universities Regulations of 2014; or alternatively UDA Party could quickly embark of fronting another candidate in Nairobi.
“The Commission hereby notifies you (IEBC) that the certificate recognition of the qualification of the purported Bachelor of Science in Management (External) degree from Team University issued to one Sakaja, which was presented to your good office in compliance to the provisions of Section 22(2) of the Elections Act and Regulation 47 of the Election (General) Regulations, 2012 is revoked,” Ntarangwi said.
A source which we Homenews.co.ke communicated with from the CUE offices whispered to us that Sakaja’s fate is now sealed as Uganda’s authorities have already gathered worrying details on the Degree which Sakaja has been using to vie in Nairobi.
And it is from this report that the office of the Director of Criminal Investigations DCI could immediately rely on to process Sakaja’s prosecution over the academic fraud.
