Friday, July 1, 2022 –Six gangsters who have been terrorising Nakuru residents have been nabbed hiding in rented rooms where they had also stored their crude weapons.
Making this confirmation on Friday July 1, the Directorate of Criminal Investigations DCI revealed the identities of the six gang members suspected to be involved in the recent spate of crimes through chilling murders around Nakuru area.
On Friday, the DCI report indicated that they had completed all forensic investigations and documented necessary details on the six.
Of the group, five were nabbed on Friday morning staying in a mud house where they had gathered taking a rest after learning of the arrest of their gang leader, Evans Kebwaro, who had already fled to Kisii.
“The five were Julius Otieno, 27, Josphat Simiyu, 24, Dennis Nmbolo 25, Isaac Kinyanjui, 18 and Makhoha Wanjala, 25.
“Upon the arrest of the mastermind Evans Michori Kebwaro, in Keroka Kisii County, the detectives raided a dwelling house in Nakuru’s Kivumbini area at 3 AM and pounced on Kebwaro’s five accomplices who had fallen into a deep slumber in a mud walled room,” DCI further divulged.
The police from the DCI managed to gain access to the room through the roof and the window.
