Tuesday, July 5, 2022 –Latest opinion poll of Tuesday July 5 has showed that Deputy President William Ruto was going down in popularity due to the presence of Roots Party boss, George Wajackoyah.
Prof Wajackoyah, according to the scientific poll, is steadily eating into DP William Ruto’s support base as time goes by.
Intel Research Solutions IRS findings further indicated that Ruto’s popularity had gone down from 51.2 previous ratings to 49.9 percent. This being a 1.3 percent drop.
Among all the presidential candidates who are participating in the August 9 poll, Wajackoyah was the only one benefiting from Ruto’s numbers due to his nature and style of engagement with the poor lot in the country.
The Roots Party leader is now at 2.8 percent; this being a 0.9 percent upward trajectory; a prove that his rise is positive as compared to both William Ruto and Raila Odinga.
On the other hand, Azimio presidential candidate Raila Odinga still maintained his popularity at 42.5 per cent and a lead of 53.7 percent in Nairobi County where his close rival William Ruto follows with 38.1 percent.
Lastly, the Agano Party presidential candidate David Mwaure’s popularity increased by 0.4 percentage points to 1.1 per cent. While the number of countrywide undecided voters increased by 0.1 per cent.
The pollster however, predicted lack of a runoff because in the few remaining days, all the top candidate will intensify their search for the remaining points to win in first round of the exercise.
