Tuesday, July 12, 2022 –Defense Cabinet Secretary Eugene Wamalwa has harshly responded to Deputy President William Ruto who today fired derogatory remarks at him.
Ruto who was on a tour at the home of the cabinet secretary in Trans Nzoia County today spared some of his time to embarrass Eugene at home by referring to him as a woman who cannot withstand his slap should it happen.
The second in command also went ahead to describe Wamalwa as a reckless man who had run loose with words and who should be stopped as fast as possible.
“I heard somebody I gave the Cabinet job, and who comes from here, claim that I wanted to slap him. Let me tell you this; where I come from, we do not slap women. Tell him that we respect women.
“Remind him to calm down. Without me, he would have been roaming around the streets. I got him from the rags and gave him the CS job,” the DP claimed.
But on the same day, CS Eugene surfaced guns-blazing and reminded the DP that whatever he had said last week at Bukhungu Stadium still stands since Ruto has anger management issues and that this everyone in the Cabinet knows quite well.
“When I say you were angered when I took some MPs to Uhuru and that you wanted to slap me, Matiangi and many others, it is not lying. It’s the truth not an insult,” Wamalwa said.
He also went on to name Dr. Fred Matiang’i, himself and President Uhuru as the main victims in government who were almost slapped by the DP.
