Monday, July 18, 2022 –Mumias East Member of Parliament candidate, Peter Kalerwa Salasya, continues to excite voters from his backyard in Mumias, Kakamega County.
Taking to his Facebook account on Sunday July 17, Mr. Salasya updated that he was set to take over the leadership of Mumias East from the outgoing MP Benjamin Washiali of United Democratic Alliance UDA Party.
The DAP- Kenya candidate is optimistic of emerging with victory owing to the fact that he is not only a front runner, but also this being his second attempt.
“Finishing power is now ready ,,,,,we are now increasing the finishing power ,the machinery are continuing to arrive…. Mumias East constituency is locked with PK Salasya for MP,” he updated his supporters on social media.
According to the Democratic Action Party of Kenya DAP-Kenya Party website, Salyasya is the youngest MP aspirant in Western Kenya and whose entry into local politics complicated matters for his rivals who appear still truggling one month to the general elections.
