Wednesday, July 20, 2022 –Azimio la Umoja-One Kenya Coalition leader Raila Odinga has praised his running mate Martha Karua’s debating skills.
Mr. Odinga who revealed to have followed the debate from the comfort of his home in Karen on Tuesday July 19 night commented that Karua demonstrated high-level thinking capacity and mastery of leadership skills throughout the debate.
He added that though she, was at some point, provoked to explode, Karua maintained calm and remained composed to the last minute; this being a great value in leadership.
“Your poise, mastery of subject matters, and staying calm even when provoked were impressive. I congratulate my able deputy and team member @MarthaKarua. The Azimio family stands proud of your performance during last night’s debate. Keep selling #VoteBlue #Inawezekana,” Raila noted in his early morning tweet.
Ms Karua who faced-off with United Democratic Alliance UDA Party candidate, Rigathi Gachagua, in a 90-minute debate, focused most of her energy on their plan to cut down corruption from government offices.
She took issue with Rigathi who has graft cases pending in court but not willing to take full responsibility to clear his name at once, through the available judiciary process.
In response, Gachagua, however said whatever case that is in court against him came around as a result of both State blackmail and capture especially on anyone who is supporting William Ruto’s ambition of becoming the next president.
