Tuesday, July 26, 2022 –Azimio la Umoja-One Kenya leader Raila Amolo Odinga will be holding a Town Hall meeting at Jericho in Nairobi today evening.
Mr. Odinga who early today traveled to Meru County for a series of meetings will be back to Nairobi in the afternoon before having a one-hour meeting at Town Hall at the time Deputy President William Ruto and other willing presidential candidates will be attending a national presidential debate.
Orange Democratic Movement ODM Secretary General Edwin Sifuna made this revelation on Citizen Tv morning News Break show where he was being hosted by Sam Gituku.
Gituku who had sought to understand the whereabouts of Odinga, got an immediate response from Sifuna who confidently highlighted their Tuesday July 26 itinerary which veered off the debate.
“From where I sit, I know Raila will be in Meru the better part of today then later on in the evening he will have a Town Hall event at Jericho,” Sifiuna revealed.
Azimio leadership decided to announce their boycott after the Kenya Kwanza camp appeared to be interested in demonstrating their attack prowess during national debates; what Azimio think amounts to total disrespect to both the president and other players.
In the running mate debate held a couple of days ago, Rigathi Gachagua appeared to break loose with constant attacks at the president instead of focusing on the real issues. He was facing off with Azimio’s Martha Karua.
The debates were organised to take place at the Catholic University, Nairobi.
