Saturday, July 30, 2022 –Kiambu County Woman Representative and embattled Gatundu lawmaker Moses Kuria clashed publicly in rally forcing the latter to flee.
Drama started when Kuria, who is seeking governorship for Kiambu, arrived at Mitahato-Ngewa Ward uninvited triggering an ugly sibling rivalry.
Homenews.co.ke received a video clip of what exactly happened and in it, Ms Wamuchomba can be heard telling Kuria and his friends to leave the meeting because they are not needed around.
“This is my meeting, I am a woman. I don’t want to be bullied by men… Today is Wamuchomba’s day,” she said as translated from her native Kikuyu language mixed with some Swahili.
She goes ahead to advise Kuria to learn how to organise his own meetings without interfering with others plans.
“If you want your own meeting, don’t come and spoil my meeting. You can organize yours after mine,” she added.
At that point, MP Kuria who was sited pensively is seen standing, bidding bye to the locals and then walks way heedlessly in utter embarrassment.
“Once the meeting ends, you will find me by the roadside waiting for you,” he tells uninterested crowd.
This is happening just days after Wamuchomba sought protection from authorities saying she is in need of security intervention.
“As a woman candidate, I seek protection during my campaigns,” the letter by Wamuchomba read adding that Kuria was forcing himself into her meetings what does not look so good.
She accused Kuria of being so disrespectful, violent and ungovernable.
