Thursday, August 25, 2022 –Makueni Governor Mutula Kilonzo Junior escaped death today morning when his Toyota Land Cruiser V8 car rolled over into a roadside ditch.
The early morning Thursday accident saw his white cream cruiser lose direction, veer off the road before landing into the ditch.
A source who spoke to Homenews.co.ke immediately after the accident, confirmed that the governor-elect was not part of the occupants when this accident occurred.
According to Ma3 Route Twitter Handle, This incident took place along Machakos-Wote Road near Wote Town ahead of his swearing-in ceremony.
“Governor Elect Mutula Kilonzo Jnr Car involved in nasty accident in Makueni,” Ma3 Route updated.
Luckily, those who were inside were not injured but sustained a few injuries and were rushed to a nearby hospital for check up and first aid services.
Kilonzo was hosted on Citizen Tv by Jeff Koinange last Wednesday where he thanked the people of Makueni for having faith in his leadership.
The ex-senator used the show to outline his development programmes for the people of Makueni saying top on his agenda list is digging bore holes for water distribution around the drought-hit County.
