Thursday, September 1, 2022 –Detectives have today Thursday September 1 raided Cleophas Malala’s home for what is yet to be clear.
Addressing this at his Milimani Home in Kakamega Town, Mr. Malala confirmed that the police raided his residence before they served him any such orders.
He termed this move as a witch-hunt arising from the just ended elections what could be abit unfair and unjust.
“I have not seen any arrest warrant.
“We seem to be the only ones who have been targeted. But we are still sorting this out as a legal team and we may not say anything that may go on record at this time,” Grace Mburu, representating him told several media reporters.
The ex-senator’s legal team led by Grace Mburu also lamented that their client was yet to be served with any paper to know what crime he had committed.
“As a woman at this point it is good to ensure that the Malala’s kids are not in the house in case of any forceful entries into the premises,” Mburu noted.
This development is coming barely two days after the politician lost to Fernandes Barasa with whom they were competing for the governor seat.
