Saturday, September 3, 2022 –Disgruntled ex-Meru Governor Kiraitu Murungi has affirmed his commitment in Kenya Kwanza even if the Supreme Court favours the other side.

Accusing Azimio la Umoja’s top brass for sabotaging his well-planned local campaigns in the just concluded elections, Kiraitu noted that he would not allow to, again, work with Raila in future for obvious reasons.

“DEP will stand with you Dr. Ruto regardless of the outcome of that case because ultimately what is important for us in our party is that you have an effective grassroots campaign that captured the aspirations of many Kenyans, especially Mt Kenya.

“We have listened to our people and it is their wish that we partner with you as our president,” he said to the media.

The party leader added that the many frustrations Raila’s Azimio subjected his party members to has to come to an end.

“I need to say the bus ride in Azimio was bumpy and slippery. We are aware that no political journey is smooth. Political journeys are full of zig zags, potholes and unknown.

“We will work hard to realise the dream of a free and inclusive Kenya through the Kenya Kwanza alliance,” the politician vowed.

Kiraitu, painfully, lost to an Independent candidate Kawira Mwanagaza in the contest that also saw Senator Mithika Lunturi of United Democratic Alliance UDA Party come second.
