Friday, September 9, 2022 –Ex-Kisii County Governor James Ongwae has joined Kenyan Kwanza alliance day’s to William Ruto’s inauguration ceremony to be held at Kasarani Stadium, Nairobi.
Mr. Ongwae made the announcement in his Friday September 9 statement saying it was time for the country to unite and discuss progress together.
This happened after holding a lengthy discussion with the president-elect Dr. William Ruto at his Karen residence in Nairobi.
“I had insightful discussions with the 5th President of Kenya William Ruto. Congratulations Mr President, best wishes, good health & God’s favour in your tenure as you steer our country toward economic recovery. God bless Kenya!” the former governor stated.
Also present in the meeting were former women representative Janet Ong’era, and former Transport Chief Administrative Secretary CAS, Chris Obure.
Ongwae’s move is coming barely a day after expressing his willingness to work with the winning team.
The politician served as Kisii County governor for two terms which ended on August 9 when the new governor Simba Arati took over following his victory.
Simba Arati is an Orange Democratic Movement ODM Party member who previously served as Dagoretti North Member of Parliament.
