Monday, September 12, 2022 –Renowned Nairobi-based lawyer, Donald Kipkorir, has advised former Prime Minister Raila Odinga not to actively continue with the oversight role in opposition.
The lawyer showed that, for many years Odinga has been in opposition, some sections have been made to hate or ridicule him and, therefore, it was time for every Kenyan to carry his own cross moving forward.
He observed that Odinga’s love for the country was not appreciated by those who wanted to make sure power remains with only two communities.
“Dearest Raila Odinga, tomorrow begins Presidency of H.E William Ruto. From the depths of my heart, I beseech you stop crying for us. Don’t look out for Kenya anymore. Your love was unrequited. We didn’t deserve your love & sacrifice. Let’s be with our foibles & chains. GODSPEED.
“When one has mentored you, held up your hand, lifted you up, guided you, gave you an opening, came through for you, celebrated with you or commiserated with you, you never betray or scandalize him when fortunes change. Respect Uhuru Kenyatta & Raila Odinga. POWER IS TRANSIEN,” he remarked.
His fellow Azimio la Umoja ally, Robert Alai, used the opportunity to tell-off Rift Valley Bishop Lang’at who had urged Mr. Odinga to continue with his oversight role.
Alai said time to ask Raila to play that role is no more and that every Kenyan will rally behind what Ruto does either good or bad and, therefore, everybody for himself.
