In the tea meeting the two held at Sports Ministry today Tuesday November 8 morning following a public uproar, Loyerer told Namwamba why he had to clean his shoes.

He cited cleanliness as key to godliness; a virtue he argued is taught at the Youth service and which they take very seriously.

He told Ababu why NYS officers are all trained not only discipline but also to deal with dirt every time.

“The cleaning of shoes is some of the skills we are taught. Additionally, when our bosses have a wardrobe malfunction, we have to correct it,” he stated in their meeting.

The CS, on his part, wondered how the officer was quick to notice that the shoes was not clean and described the gesture as humanly.

“How did you notice this very easily. I mean myself I hadn’t seen it?

“I am very happy that NYS is training you on things to do with cleaning, and technical skills among others,” Namwamba added.

The duo met after a section of Kenyans called out the CS after the video that captured the incident went viral.
