Sunday, November 27, 2022 –Opposition leader has planned a series of mega rallies to discuss the government’s plan to ouster the four dissenting IEBC commissioners.

Opposition leader Raila Odinga has today Sunday November 27, while in Kisumu, announced that plans to remove the four electoral commissioners from office remains illegal and must be dealt with and resisted by all their supporters.

First rally, according to Mr. Odinga, will be taking place on Wednesday this month at Kamukunji Grounds in Nairobi followed by several other similar meetings countrywide.

Though Raila had earlier talked about major protests dubbed mass action against the government, he would shortly change this to nationwide consultations.

“We will have a meeting on Wednesday, November 30, at the Kamukunji grounds to ask them if they accept these commissioners to be sent home.

“These people(Ruto and Gachagua) stole the elections and now they want to send home the four IEBC commissioners who stood by the truth,” Odinga added.

This remark is coming barely three days after the ODM Party boss released a hard-hitting press briefing against the President whom he singled out as the man keen on pushing for the removal of the four commissioners who did not agree with the results that declared him(Ruto) the president.

The four IEBC commissioners are Vice Chair-lady Juliana Cherera, Justus Nyang’aya, Irene Masit, and Francis Wanderi.

After Raila’s Kamukunji rally, the second and third rallies will be held in Mombasa and Nakuru Counties respectively.

In a rejoinder, Ruto and his deputy described Odinga’s threats as another joke unless his own daughter Winnie together with Kalonzo Musyoka’s son Kennedy Musyoka will also be physically available for the mass action.

DP Gachagua and his boss William Ruto were speaking on this matter during the Sunday Church service held at CITAM Church in Karen, Nairobi.
