Tuesday, November 29, 2022 –African side, Senegal, has managed to move forward to the next round – of sixteen – in the ongoing World Cup competition taking place in Qatar.
This was after they beat Ecuador 2-1 bagging a decisive win that has send them to round of sixteen teams in the 2022 World Cup season.
Boulaye Dia had an early open chance which he squandered, but when it looked like the match was headed for a draw at halftime, the wild Teranga Lions got a penalty which Ismaila Sarr stood and slotted it home to make it 1-0 heading to the half time.
Ecuador had an equalizer goal in the second half at around the seventieth minute from a corner kick and which was scored by Moises Caicedo.
This gave the Ecuadorian side a new hope which was, sadly, cut short as Senegal netted the second goal a minute later.
The second goal was made possible by Captain Kalidou Koulibaly at the 70th minute changing all eyes towards Tunisia, Ghana and Cameroon.
This match was played on Tuesday November 29 at the Khalifa International Stadium.
