Saturday, December 31, 2022 -Embattled Meru County Governor Kawira Mwangaza has been saved from end year Impeachment.
The Senate Special Committee, under Kakamega Senator Boni Khalwale, found out that none of the allegations raised against the governor stood the test of time.
That Meru County Assembly Members could not substantiate any of the raised accussations.
Khalwale said that the Committee was investigating the Governor against nepotism, illegal appointments, incitement and bullying of other leaders and forceful entry into the Meru County Assembly. None of which could be substantiated.
Governor Mwangaza had been impeached by 67 out of 69 Members of County Assembly in Meru County.
Following the outcome of the committee today Friday, the third governor poured into tears of joy.
She would quickly term the verdict as long-awaited justice.
