Sunday, January 1, 2023 –Kenyatta University KU student, Victoria Muthoni Theuri, has been found dead in her boyfriend’s room in Kahawa Wendani.

The KU student who tricked her parents that she was visiting her sister who stays in Kahawa Sukari, was found dead on Saturday December 31.

She had left home just after celebrating Christmas with her family when she bade farewell to them as she headed to see her sister a few kilometers away.

And when she failed to return home on that evening, this triggered parents to call her on phone which had already been switched off. Her sister would then tell the parents that she had not met her.

It quickly prompted the family to launch a frantic search that ended up being bad news on the evening of Saturday December 31.

In the boyfriend’s room, there was emanating continuous foul smell which neighbours were already complaining about.

Police accompanying the caretaker would force themselves into the house where they found the lifeless body lying on the floor in the sitting room.

“There were no visible injuries on the body but she must have been dead for at least three days,” detectives were quoted by Nation.Africa.

At that time, the boyfriend had already fled the scene with some neighbours claiming that he had told them that he was leaving to the village for Christmas celebrations.

The suspect would, later, be arrested while at his rural home and he is currently held at Ruiru Subcounty DCI headquarters.

The death report was filed at Kahawa Sukari Police Station.
