Friday, January 6, 2023 –Eldoret-based police are closing down on those who participated in the murder of popular model and Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender LGBTQ activist, Edwin Chiloba.
Chiloba who was found dead on Wednesday shocked many, mostly residents of Eldoret, who claimed he was not a criminal or a law breaker in their area.
Peter Kimulwo, Uasin Gishu DCI boss, has reported that, following the death, they are working to properly identify the body of the diseased currently lying at at the Moi Referral Morgue.
“So far we are waiting for family members to come out so that they identity the body,” Kimulwo said.
He assured that they have some crucial leads that will soon lead to arrests and asked family and friends to remain calm as the matter is pursued.
So far, detectives, have identified the house where the deceased lived but it was not clear how he met his death.
“We will tie up some information we have and that may lead to arrests,” Kimulwo added.
Chiloba, an LGBT member, was found murdered and his body stashed in a metallic box along the Kipenyo-Kaptinga road, in Kapsaret, Uasin Gishu.
