Wednesday, January 11, 2023 –Members of Parliament have joined the ongoing debate on the lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender LGBTQ debate in the country.
Latest to fault the controversial community is Nyali MP Mohammed Ali aka Jicho Pevu who has described the practice as immoral and unclean.
Through his Twitter handle on Wednesday January 11, MP Ali noted that it is time to start jailing those practicing gay and lesbianism in the country since it is quickly spreading out to school children.
The second term legislator said this country has important matters than discussing how LGBTQ members are now killing each other over cheating claims.
“Let us not waste time discussing LQBTQ or whatever name they call it,” said the Mp
“Its illegal, God doesn’t like it and we should not entertain it. On this one Democracy my foot! Jail them,” he said.
His views come barely two days after Kapsaret Member of Parliament, Oscar Sudi, also faulted those joining LGBTQs.
MP Sudi termed the practice as uncultural and which should be weeded out as fast as possible before it destroys the entire country.
“Our culture is that you are born, go to school, get circumcised, get a job, get married and have children. Those who are gays, if their parents were like them they would not have been born.
“That is satanism, as the church and as leaders we will not accept,” said the politician at a function in his constituency on Saturday.
The two were reacting to the debate triggered by the death of Eldoret-based LGBTQ activist, Edwin Chiloba.
Chiloba was butchered to death by his partner, Jackton Odhiambo together with two other friends, who confessed eliminating him after they learnt that he was dating another partner.
