Tuesday, February 7, 2023 –Orange Democratic Movement ODM Party has hit out at President William Ruto for luring the opposition with goodies so that to forget their ‘stolen victory’.
Reacting just hours after the head of State met with eight elected members of Parliament MPs at the Statehouse Kenya today Tuesday February 7 morning, ODM Party leadership warned that the quest for democracy and electoral justice will go on despite the theatrics by the Statehouse to divert attention.
“We want to inform our members and supporters that our quest for restoration of our stolen victory & provision of good leadership to Kenyans will not be deterred by carrot dangling & dishing of handouts to our elected leaders. The Movement is unstoppable. Let’s meet in Mavoko, Friday,” ODM updated on its walls.
President Ruto hosted ODM-allied MPs at the Statehouse where they shared a cup of tea and agreed to work together.
The MPs were led by Cabinet Secretary for ICT Eliud Owalo in a meeting that Lang’ata Member of Parliament Felix Odiwuor aka Jalang’o also confirmed attendance.
“Today we had breakfast with the president, I followed up on the Start date of the construction of affordable housing in Highrise ward and the completion of the Langata TVET.
“The project is on and the contractor is on ground, an extra 50Million has been located for the completion,” Jalang’o stated on his Twitter handle.
Others who met with the president at the Statehouse included Mark Nyamita (Uriri), Tom Ojienda (Kisumu), Shakeel Shabir (Independent – Kisumu Town East), and Caroli Omondi (Suba South).
Furthermore, Elisha Odhiambo (Gem), Gideon Ochanda (Bondo) and some other two more also shared a cup of tea with the head of the State.
