Weatherman Delivers sad News to Kenyans, Reveals when Rains Will Start

Wednesday, February 15, 2023 –Kenya Meteorological Department has forecast that the earliest the country could start experiencing rains is mid-March.

Making the announcement on Tuesday February 14, the weatherman forecasted on a period starting February to April and said rains will start mid next month.

The government agency further disclosed that Nairobi County and Central Highlands will remain dry until mid-March.

Western region, South Eastern lowlands, and the Coastal regions will also suffer the same fate as Nairobi even as taps remain dry with biting shortage of water around cities.

The National Meteorological Department painted a gloomy picture on the North Eastern Region saying they should be ready for any rains starting April.

And around the country, temperatures will remain hot throughout with dirty environment that could also lead to some ailments like flue and coughs.

Nonetheless, the forecaster had some good news for some areas saying they may start receiving low rains and drizzles this month, February.

Some of these areas are the Lake Victoria Basin, Highlands West of the Rift Valley, Southern Rift Valley, and parts of the Highlands East of the Rift Valley.

While praying for the rains to fall in an event held at Nyayo National Stadium on Tuesday February 14, President William Ruto indicated that the government was ready to deal with calamities and damages that could come with it when it starts to rain.
