Ex-Interior CS Dr. Fred Matiang’i touches down in Lusaka Zambia.

Unbelievably, the ex-state official could not be allowed to enter the compound in his cars; he had to first park them outside the offices before being allowed in.

He was accompanied by a section of Azimio-allied leaders including formerDefence Cabinet Secretary Eugene Wamalwa. Also in the company of Matiang’i were Nyamira Senator Okong’o Mogeni, Rarieda MP Otiende Amollo and Kisii Senator Richard Onyonka.

Lawyer Danastan Omari was also present among several other top lawyers who are helping come up with a strong defence document.

Before making his way into the DCI offices, a source told this desk that Lawyer Danstan Omari through Okong’o Omugeni had to write down full list of every lawyer accompanying Matiang’i before being let in.

“You can block the supporters but allow the lawyers to go in,” Mogeni told the officers manning the gate.

The former CS had been summoned to appear before the DCI at 9:30AM this Tuesady March 7 for questioning over an alleged night police raid that took place at his Karen home on February 8.
