Friday, March 17, 2023 –Radio Africa Group has today March 17 announced the closure of KISS Tv.
In a statement from its Chief Operation Officer, Martin Khafafa, the media house had failed to turn around the Tv station despite years of attempts to match with the rest.
“All affected staff will duly be informed on the handover process by the HR team.memo read in part.
“Once again, I would like to thank KISS Tv staff for all their effort to make the brand work,” Khafafa added.
A few sources who we spoke to at the station noted that Kiss Tv had been shut down just a year after rebranding. The rebranding exercise was part of station’s attempts to see if it could pick up in the fast-changing market.
“What you hear could be true, the station will be shut down finally,” the source confirmed.
Kiss Tv which was started over five years ago was recently relaunched with fresh content strategy full of revamped youthful entertainment programmes.
It is owned by Radio Africa Group which also runs Radio Jambo, Classic FM, Kiss FM among many others.
Radio Africa also owns the popular entertainment website dubbed Mpasho.
