Sunday, March 26, 2023 – Canada-based lawyer, Miguna Miguna, has attacked Trade Cabinet Secretary Moses Kuria for opining that the opposition leader Raila Odinga has to be dealt with decisively.

On Saturday March 25 afternoon, the Trade CS asked President William Ruto to deal with Raila the Museveni way and handle the attached consequences which may not last long.

Mr. Kuria, speaking in an interview with BBC, said the Azimio la Umoja-One Kenya coalition party leader “terrorised” previous administrations, but that the current regime will not spare him this time.

“We had very transparent elections, we went all the way to the Supreme Court, the Supreme Court pronounced itself…every time coming to prosecute an election, then it means that we’re going to deal with him the way Paul Kagame deals with his opponents, the way Museveni deals with his opponent. There’s no other way,” Kuria told the British broadcaster BBC.

Although, the CS did not specify how Presidents Kagame and Museveni deal with those opposing them, he said the government will “do whatever it takes” to teach Raila his lessons.

The outspoken CS went on to rubbish claims by Mr. Odinga in regard to the cost of living as the cause of the ongoing demos.

But in  a hard response later in the evening, Miguna described the likes of CS Kuria as reckless government officials who may want to shed blood in the name of punishing only Raila.

The Canadian-based lawyer, who is more inclined towards the State, warned those proposing that Raila be neutralized, saying only lawful means can apply in dealing with the opposition.

“This is reckless. Conman @RailaOdinga must be dealt with legally and politically. Not illegally. Kenyans won’t allow their country to degenerate into lawlessness and tyranny because of reckless characters like this,” he fired back.

Miguna who does not always agree with Raila’s style of politics, clarified that he can only participate in legal plans of dealing with Odinga.
