Thursday, March 30, 2023 –President William Ruto arrived at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport JKIA in Nairobi on March 30, 2023 from his four-day Germany and Belgium visit.
Ruto, on Thursday, jetted back into the country after the visit to the two nations where he held bilateral talks with leaders from those countries.
The Head of State who departed from Kenya on Sunday touched down at the JKIA in Nairobi today(Thursday March 30) morning and was welcomed by his deputy, Rigathi Gachagua.
“This morning, I welcomed our President, H.E. @WilliamsRuto back home after a successful working tour of Germany and Belgium,” DP Gachagua updated.
Ruto’s visit was centred on reinforcing Kenya’s commitment to the Kenya–EU Strategic Dialogue and deepening the partnership between his country and the European Union EU.
Among other leaders, Ruto met President Frank-Walter Steinmeier and German Chancellor Olaf Scholz in talks aimed at strengthening ties between Kenya and Germany.
The UDA Party leader also delivered a keynote address at the Berlin Energy Transition Dialogue, outlining the challenges of energy security amidst the worsening climatic crisis and the push for investments in renewable energy, in Kenya and Africa.
He was accompanied by a section of his cabinet members among them Foreign Affairs CS Dr. Alfred Mutua.
