Tuesday, April 11, 2023 –President William Ruto silently confronted top officials in his government over the raid at Kenyatta’s Northlands Estate in Ruiru.

Insiders who made the revelations to the media on Tuesday, April 11, claimed that the president was not happy when some officials he had entrusted with his government while on tour abroad in Europe planned to humiliate his predecessor Uhuru Kenyatta without his consent.

In fact, this action, according to the insiders, pushed the head of State to start looking for ways to mend fences with his nemesis, Raila Odinga.

And while still away, angry Ruto described the raid on Uhuru’s Northland Farm as unfortunate; adding that the country should be governed by the rule of law and that the police should act, independently.

“Kenya is a country of rule of law and has responsible citizens. As President, I will ensure that no one’s property is destroyed or life lost. That is what makes us equal. Nobody should trample on the rights of others,” the head of State remarked.

Ruto would then embark on seeking truce with Raila as he is said to have been the first to contact Mr. Odinga.

And when he was addressing the nation from Statehouse calling Raila his brother, Raila also went on air to immediately call off the protests.

Government insiders added that emissaries played a major role in meeting Odinga so that to convince him for bipartisan talks.

“The request came from the other side, and our people responded and gave conditions. There have been allegations that I met Mr Ruto in the Mara; nothing can be further from the truth.

“There has been no meeting between Ruto and me,” Odinga made the confirmation.
