Wednesday, April 12, 2023 -Police in Bungoma have arrested three persons in Kimilili area for allegedly attacking and killing a medical military officer attached to the Moi Air Base barracks.
Making this confirmation today afternoon, Kimilili Police Station OCPD Mwita Marwa told Citizen Digital that a scuffle ensued between the officer – identified as Edward Barasa – and a group of rowdy youth he was drinking with at a chang’aa den in Maeni Village.
The said youth are then said to have descended on the military officer with blows and kicks, before one of them hit him hard on the head with a blunt object.
Barasa would then succumb to his injuries while on his way to Kimilili Sub-County hospital where he was being rushed for urgent medical attention.
Our source reported to have seen his hands and head with deep cuts.
OCPD Marwa has since warned locals against taking the law into their own hands and promised to make sure the culprits are punished.
