Friday, April 28, 2023 – Controversy-ridden Pastor Ezekiel Odero’s wife Sarah Odero has broken her silence since husband’s arrest.
The New Life Prayer Centre and Church second in command has finally spoken days after her husband was arrested over reported deaths at their multimillion Kilifi church.
Ms Sarah, while speaking to congregants in a video shared via their official Youtube channel on Friday, noted that prayer services had been halted until when the case facing her husband will be determined.
“I am here to tell you that we will not have prayer services at this church because it is good that we give the government enough time to investigate the ongoing issues besieging churches that have been reported on social media and news,” she stated.
According K24, she also implored the believers to continue praying hard while waiting for the police to conclude their ongoing investigations.
“But it is not only about New Life church but many other churches. I urge those on social media to continue praying hard,” Sarah added.
Ezekiel was arrested after several deaths were reported at his Kilifi church by various morgues who spoke to police.
The wealthy pastor is accused of moving critically ill believers from hospitals to perform healing miracles in his church. The church was closed and the sick found were ordered to seek medical assistance.
He appeared today Friday April 28, in a Shanzu Court.
