US finally approves Pfizer Covid-19 vaccine

Outgoing US President Donald Trump has ordered an immediate distribution of Pfizer-BioNTech Covid-19 vaccine in all States of America.

According to the Nation Digital, the vaccine on Friday December 11 was finally given a clean bill of health for human use.

President Trump’s administration has promised to roll out the administering in a period of less than 24 hours.

“I am authorizing the emergency use of Pfizer-BioNTech Vaccine for the prevention of Covid-19,” Denise Hinton, the Food and Drug Administration’s FaD chief scientist wrote in a letter to a Pfizer executive.

On seeing this far, President Trump took to his Twitter hailing the efforts by saying all Americans must be ready to undergo the protection process.

“The first vaccine will be administered in less than 24 hours,” Trump said in a televised address released on his Twitter.

“Through our partnership with FedEx and UPS, we have already begun shipping the vaccine to every State and zip code in the country,” he added.

With US now releasing the drug, this puts to six the total number of nations which have so far approved the 2-dose regimen. Bahrain, Canada, Saudi Arabia and Mexico not forgetting the Britain have all approved their vaccine.

The good news are coming amid increased deaths cases resulting from Covid-19 virus where approximately 300,000 persons have already succumbed.
