Wednesday, May 10, 2023 -Secretary General, the Kenya National Union of Nurses (KNUN), Mr. Seth Panyako, has took a swipe at President William Ruto.
Addressing the press on Tuesday May 9, a visibly angry Panyako pointed out how the current President is nolonger the same person they used to campaign together and plan how to run the country when they happen to take power from Uhuru Kenyatta.
In a fresh video doing rounds on socials, the politician-cum-unionist reminisced how Ruto used to sit them down at his Karen residence and, together, plan how to handle the health sector better than the retired head of State, Mr. Uhuru Kenyatta.
“Sometimes, I don’t understand whether Ruto is the same one we used to sit with in Karen and discuss how to run the country.
“Wes used to blame Uhuru together how he messed up this country.
“Now I don’t believe I even looked for votes for William Ruto,” Panyako regretted.
The medics’ union boss regretted further that the current head of State has since forgotten addressing important matters in the country like the health sector which was his major priority before the elections.
The former Malava Constituency Member of Parliament MP aspirant on Amani National Congress ANC Party ticket cried laud that since winning election, Dr. Ruto had significantly changed his ways to something else.
In the highly-contested August 9 polls, Mr. Panyako lost to the incumbent Moses Malulu Injendi in Malava.
Though he filed a petition to protest the outcome, Justice Rechel Ngetich sitting in Kakamega Law Courts said the petition was never supported with binding evidence to warrant nullification of the election.
Panyako sued the IEBC, its Malava returning officer Juma Joseph Oduor, and MP Malulu saying the three-term MP, among other things, went into a bribing spree in several wards including Chemuche, Manda Shivanga and Kabras East.
