Monday, May 22, 2023 –Former President Uhuru Kenyatta has promised to host Azimio la Umoja diehard supporter Gaucho for lunch.
Reacting to voices which have been trolling him after he met Calvince Okoth aka Gacucho at Jubilee Party headquarters on April 26, Mr. Kenyatta observed that anybody who came to Jubilee Party offices to support him when government had intruded deserves to be rewarded.
The ex-head of State seized the opportunity during the Jubilee Party National Delegates Conference NDC held today Monday May 22 at Ngong Racecourse to laud the youths who showed up in numbers to defend his party on that day.
Kenyatta suddenly turned up outside the offices after the chaos erupted between the Jeremiah Kioni-led faction and that led by Kanini Kega and Sabina Chege.
During that time, there was witnessed pelting of stones that ended with a heavy police deployment, who lobbed teargas to disperse the supporters.
Self-proclaimed Bunge la Mwananchi president Gaucho was among the youth who accompanied Kenyatta as he arrived to quell the chaos.
“I was not aware our office had been raided but even though I was alone I had to go and defend the property of my people. Some youths showed up to defend their party and resist the injustice that was taking place.
“Police were called and refused to come so these young people had to do what they had to do and God bless them and may they keep up the strong work.
“In fact, that young man by the name Gaucho, if I see him I will buy him lunch,” Uhuru affirmed.
At the same time, Mr. Kenyatta lashed out at what appeared to be goons who attacked his family’s Northlands Farm in Kiambu in March.
The unknown people invaded the prime land located along the Nairobi Eastern Bypass, cut down trees and made away with imported sheep worth 70M.
The goons even went ahead to burn part of tree plantation on the farm to intimidate the former head of State against involving himself in Azimio matters, specifically, alleged financing of anti-government protests.
