Friday, June 23, 2023 –Opposition politicians across the globe are currently converging in Poland for global opposition leader’ sconference.

Among other leaders, Kenyan Raila Amollo Odinga and Ugandan Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu alias Bobi Wine arrived before taking a photo together.

On Friday June 23, the duo took a photo together alongside daughter Winnie Odinga who is also accompanying his dad.

Homenews.co.ke also learnt that Odinga and his daughter were keynote speakers in the conference which runs with the theme ‘Rolling Back Authoritarianism’.

Ms Winnie who doubles up as the East African Legislator updated that the discussion in the conference centered on protecting the opposition and democratisation.

“Today we met with opposition leaders and freedom fighters from all over the world in Gdansk Poland for a round table discussion under the theme ‘Rolling Back Authoritarianism’.
“It’s always great to reconnect and assess the progress of the fight for freedom and democracy internationally. This is a fight we must win,” partly read the statement as seen by Homenews.co.ke.

Also present at the event was Raila’s long-term friend and former President of Nigeria, Olusegun Obasanjo.

Raila’s last public appearance was on Wednesday, June 14, when he met traders at Toi Market in Kibra, which was engulfed by roadside fires and police teargas.
