Saturday, June 24, 2023 –Family of former Treasury official Tom Mokaya Osinde has filed a missing person report with the police.
The ex-Treasury official went missing and, on Saturday June 24, the family came out to look for him only to discover his vandalized car abandoned in Kilgoris.
A family spokesman indicated that the banker-turned businessman spoke to them last on Friday June 23 when he had just left home in his personal car.
They are now appealing to anyone with information about their kin to urgently volunteer it to any nearest police station.
“The most important thing is to help bring him back alive. As of now, everyone is trying to ensure that our kin is safe and sound,” a family spokesperson stated after penning the statement with police
Mr. Osinde, is a financial expert who graduated with a degree in economics from the University of Nairobi UoN before joining the Treasury Department.
And in 2010, he resigned from the government job to launch his private enterprises which, according to sources, have been doing well.
He also takes part in many philanthropic activities around Nakuru County and sometimes the country.
Friends have described him as a generous man who makes friendship and peace with all. He is well-known to Citizen Tv’s Fred Obachi Machoka who has since urged the police to help find him.
Osinde, lives in Ngata Farm, Nakuru, and is brother of the late Ken Nyauncho Osinde, who served as Kenya’s ambassador to Germany between 2010 and 2014.
