Tuesday, June 27, 2023 –President William Ruto has cleared his Advisors Monica Juma (National Security Advisor), David Ndii (chairperson of Council of Economic Advisors), Harriette Chiggai (Women Rights), and UDA Secretary General Cleophas Malala to be attending Cabinet meetings.
According to a government source, the four took their oaths of secrecy during the Cabinet Meeting on Tuesday.
Even so, it is notable that they are not cabinet secretaries.
In today meeting, William Ruto’s Cabinet approved the establishment of a special committee on pending bills.
“The Pending Bills Verification Committee will be tasked with the auditing of liabilities for the period between 2005 and 2022,” the statement read.
Ruto’s Cabinet noted that pending bills remains a sticky issue. The National Government pending bills since June 2005 to June 2022 stand at sh 481 billion while counties owe sh 159.9 billion.
