Monday January 4, 2021 -Orange Democratic Movement ODM Party is planning to counter Deputy President William Ruto’s increasing popularity in the country.
Speaking to the press, Party’s Elections Director Junet Mohammed said they will soon be resuming their nationwide public rallies under strict adherence to health Covid-19 guidelines.
They have therefore planned to start with eight mega regional delegates meetings to be held in parts of this country or per county. This would later end into one mega Delegates Conference scheduled June 2021.
“We wanted to give the President time to implement his legacy projects. That is why ODM kept off high-octane political activities. But that is changing in 2021 and we have formulated the course to re-energize the party,” declared Junet Mohamed.
He added that time to just sit and watch Ruto wave evolve into a monster was over saying that their calmness for the past few years was majorly informed by the fact they wanted President Uhuru Kenyatta to work on his manifesto without blaming Mr. Odinga for Jubilee failures.
This new development, according to political analysts, may now put the March Handshake on a stormy test.
