Tuesday, January 5, 2021 -Vocal Machakos County boss Dr. Alfred Mutua has asked Senator Irungu Kang’ata to come forward for a drink following his remarks on the future of BBI.
According to Dr. Mutua, Senator Kang’ata’s letter addressed to President Uhuru Kenyatta on his perspective of BBI support in Mt. Kenya region, may be the best thing and which ought to be taken positively.
Dr. Mutua noted that what the courageous Senate Majority Chief Whip had done was to amplify the whispers that have been going on silently.
“By speaking about the challenges as he sees them, he has issued a call to arms which has now made the BBI issue and its success, especially in Mt. Kenya region, an issue of debate and hopefully, action.
“I am especially pleased that no less than 10 fellow Governors issued a statement due to Senator Kang’ata’s letter. They have said all will be well and I am sure they will now, more than before, ensure all will indeed be well. That is good for BBI,” he said.
He has since asked anyone who knows Kangata’s whereabouts to tell him that he has his drink for performing well on this one.
The Governor has therefore cautioned both Uhuru and his Handshake partner Raila Odinga against victimizing Kang’ata over his long letter on the BBI.
