Wiper Party Responds to DP Gachagua’s Attacks

Monday, August 28, 2023 –A section of Kenya Kwanza-allied politicians have accused Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua of contradicting President William Ruto’s orders.

Led by Kathiani MP Robert Mbui, the MPs from Azimio side said silent cracks are emerging in the ruling Kenya kwanza party if the utterances always made by the DP are anything to go by.

Mbui who was appearing on Citizen Tv DayBreak show on Monday August 28 morning, argued that the DP was wrong to fault some of the peace initiatives from his boss William Ruto.

“There is such confusion coming from KK. You know every time they claim that we are seeking to be in government.

He told DP Gachagua that lost election does not mean that those who lost are enemies of the government.

According to Mbui, DP Gachagua should realize that he is the second in command and desist from making blatant remarks that demean the other parts of the country that apparently supported the Azimio candiadtes.

“At the level of the office he is holding, he must find a way to unite Kenyans that is a unifying office. If he comes to our region and we did not vote for Kenya Kwanza he should respect our wishes he should listen to us,” the MP advised further.

The Kathiani MP also wondered why Gachagua was pulling away in the opposite direction with his boss who is supporting the scheduled Bomas talks.

“I think there is a problem within the Kenya Kwanza leadership. Why is it that the head of State stands and says he supports an initiative and puts our team together to go and talk to our team.

“The Deputy, in every opportunity he gets, wants to rubbish the same process. What was the purpose of parliament sitting down and voting in favour of the National Dialogue committee if the DP goes to Ukambani the next day to insult the same process,” he said.

He was saying this in reference to Gachagua’s recent remarks during the burial ceremony of the late Anne Musau, the mother of Mwala MP Vincent Musyoka (Kawaya), where he opined that Wiper Party leader Kalonzo Musyoka would soon be shortchanged by Raila.

Gachagua claimed that Odinga had already sorted himself with Ruto to the detriment of the rest of Azimio la Umoja co-principals.
