Monday, September 25, 2023 –Ex-Pwani FM presenter Sammy Ambari or Mtumishi’s body was discovered hanging inside his house in Kilifi County.
The incident which took place in Matsangoni Ward Kilifi, left colleagues and family members in shock as he was in his best mood days before.
They claimed that the late had not exhibited any signs of depression and neither did he look disturbed before his death.
‘’He immersed himself in the political arena after leaving Pwani FM,’’ a statement from Pwani FM read partly.
Upto the time of going to the press, the authorities from the area were yet to issue any statement of the real cause of this death.
The diseased journalist hosted a weekly gospel radio show on Sundays at Pwani FM dubbed Tumsifu starting from 6 PM in the evening to 9 PM at night.
After leaving radio, Ambari would join politics in which he unsuccessfully vied for the Matsangoni Ward in the 2022 general elections.
Among the many reasons that have led to most people taking own lives in Kenya is harsh economic times where high cost of living coupled with inflation have recently had a negative impact to many families.
