Sunday, October 22, 2023 –Several Bondo United football players have been injured in a fatal road accident that took place today October 22.
Siaya Governor James Orengo has shared worrying photos showing the health state of players who had been injured while traveling in a PSV van heading for a match in Kericho.
“To the injured Bondo United players you are all in my thoughts and prayers as you recover from the accident you had today around Kericho on your way to Naivasha for a football match,” he shared.
Orange Democratic Movement ODM Party boss Raila Odinga also shared same sentiments wishing the injured sportsmen a quick recovery.
“Our thoughts and prayers are with the injured Bondo United players as they recover from today’s accident near Kericho while en route to Naivasha for a football match,” noted Odinga
In the photos shared by Governor Orengo, a wreckage of the van which the payers were traveling in can been badly damaged indicating that the casualties must have sustained critical injuries.
Those who were injured have since been rushed to various treatment facilities near the accident scene.
