Thursday, November 2, 2023 –Raila Odinga diehard Nuru Okanga today took photos with his classmates after finishing the Kenya Certificate of Primary Examinations KCPE 2023.
Speaking just hours after finishing his final paper in the exams that began on Monday this week, Okanga said that he believes the long and sleepless nights he put into the exam period will not go in vain.
“Finally, the long journey has come to an end but also marks the beginning of another journey. It has not been easy I have received hate and love in equal measures the long sleepless nights I have spent I know are not in vain,” he said as quoted in the Star news
Okanga is famously known for supporting the opposition leader Raila when he called for Kenyans to join in anti-government protests that lasted for months.
“When I started my political journey and supporting my president Raila, I went through a lot. I was jailed, and received a lot of threats, cyberbullying and physical attacks but that didn’t kill my dream,” he said.
The Azimio la Umoja supporter thanked Raila and other leaders for their offering to support him throughout the period he has been in the opposition.
“My people from Kholera ward thank you so much. 2027 here we come! I will be addressing the nation soon,” he observed.
He was among Azimio supporters who were arrested in March ahead of a planned protest.
The group was accused of intending to cause disorder through a breach of peace in Nairobi with the sole intent of causing instability and malicious property damage.
