Friday, November 3, 2023 -Kiharu Member of Parliament MP Ndindi Nyoro has asked President William Ruto to dissolve the National Dialogue Committee taking place at the Bomas.
Addressing residents of Baringo County on Wednesday November 1, MP Nyoro said he is personally against the ongoing Bomas of Kenya talks since he feels the opposition, as usual, wants to use this to join government through the back door.
Nyoro added that elections were done and Kenyans chose their government on the ballot. It is the government which was sworn into office that should be making decisions for the people and not the opposition.
The UDA Party MP noted that, whatever that is going on at the Bomas, will not see the light of day even after deliberations are over and recommendations handed to the two principals.
“Why can’t the opposition realize that these talks are a complete waste of time? After the talks so what,” he posed.
The second term lawmaker noted that there will be no Handshake or coalition government of any kind and challenged the Odinga-led faction to do their oversight to the government as the Constitution requires.
“Opposition should carry on with their work as we carry on with our work as a government,” he said.
The second term MP said that the opposition led by Raila Odinga has repeated intimidating all past administrations so that to gain access into governments they didn’t help form; what they will not get this time.
