Saturday, November 4, 2023 – Public Service Cabinet Secretary CS Moses Kurioa has, in a single day, met with both opposition leader Raila Odinga and Kalonzo Musyoka.

In the photos he shared on his X Platform on Friday November 3, the CS said that he was happy to bump into the two opposition leaders at the airport.

On meeting with Azimio leader Raila Odinga, the CS said Raila was his good friend for years and it was reassuring to enjoy time with him again.

“Bumped into my good friend,” Kuria captioned the photo with Raila Odinga.

CS Kuria also went on to reveal that he met Kalonzo Musyoka minutes later and exchanged pleasantries and past memories.

“Bumped into yet another friend,” he added.

Later on Saturday November 4, the the ex-Gatundu MP also took a sharp swipe at the Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua whom he described as a fake kingpin for their Mt. Kenya Region.

He said after the United Kingdom UK’s King Charles III and wife Camilla had flown back home, Kenya can remain with their ‘fake kingpins’ indirectly referring to DP Gachagua.

“Sasa venye King amerudi kwao, fake Kingpins you can take over,” he commented.

He was saying this just a day after President William Ruto also took issue with those calling themselves regional kingpins.

In his speech at the State house banquette attended by King Charles and wife Camilla, the head of State said, with the presence of King Charles in Kenya, Kenyan regional kingpins had been suspended with immediate effect.

In Kenya, there is a concept called kingpin, and there is a contest for kingpins around Kenya. Different regions have different kingpins, and there is a contest for this kingpin position, which literally amounts to not so much. But this week, all contests about kingpins have been suspended because the king himself is in town,President Ruto humorously remarked.

Ruto also said Kenyan version of kingpins does not amount to too much as far as he is concerned.
