Ruto’s ICC Case Closed

Monday, November 27, 2023 -The case facing President William Ruto at the International Criminal Court ICC has ended.

On Monday November 27, ICC reports indicated that it is closing the case that has been hanging on President William Ruto’s neck for decades since 2007 when President Mwai Kibaki took power against Orange Democratic Movement ODM’s Raila Odinga of pentagon coalition.

”After assessing all the information available to me at this time, I have decided to conclude the investigation phase in the Situation in Kenya. I have reached this decision after considering the specific facts and circumstances of this Situation,” the ICC statement read in part.

President William Ruto and his predecessor Uhuru Kenyatta were among the 6 suspects who, at the time, were accused of masterminding political violence after the disputed presidential election results.
