ODM Challange Karua, Kioni to Stage Protests Against Ruto

Chrispen

Saturday, December 9, 2023 –A section of youthful Orange Democratic Movement ODM Party members have asked Mt. Kenya leaders who are not happy with the Bipartisan resolutions to take on the streets on their own.

Led by Kileleshwa Member of County Assembly MCA Robert Alai, on Saturday December 9, they asked Narc-Kenya Party leader Martha Karua to use her resources and support base to stage protests against the report instead of pushing Raila to come back on the streets on behalf of Kenyans.

Opposition leader Raila Odinga in Siaya County

Alai noted further that, if she is not comfortable with the Bomas report, then the streets are free for demonstrations.

Martha Karua should mobilise and organise one major demonstration we follow her if she is uncomfortable with the NADCO report.

“We made her relevant again and she couldn’t even hire people to protect votes in her village polling station. Let’s see her organise a resistance movement against Kenya Kwanza,” added MCA Alai.

Gaucho Warns Karua

Adding his voice on the debate, youths ODM activist Calvin Okoth aka Gaucho said, time to misuse Raila was now over.

He blamed the Mt. Kenya part of the country for having stopped the Odinga’s from taking power for many years and, therefore, they should not come back to him crying for help on the cost of living.

Gaucho reminded Karua of how she fiercely participated in denying Mr. Odinga a clear victory in 2007 and, in the process, Mwai Kibaki took power through the back door.

Gaucho further remarked that, it was the Mt. Kenya Region which chased Raila out of power in 2002 despite Raila saying Kibaki Tosha.

According to Gaucho, the Kalonzo-Ichungwah report should be respected unless it is not implemented is when the opposition can think of staging other protests.

“We agree with you to go on the roads for protests. Do not take advantage of Raila Odinga. We had to go for bipartisan using Kalonzo Musyoka who has a clean history of holding successful negotiations,” Gaucho said in a video shared online.

He noted that Kalonzo brokered a fair bipartisan talk deal and there is not reason, as of now, to fight him on such grounds.

“You are trying to insinuate that Mr. Kalonzo failed to understand his role. We are not refusing that but, you can stage protests in Mt. Kenya,” the fire spitting Gaucho said.

He reminded Karua how the Kikuyus have been calling Raila names and composing songs against his political ambitions all through.

Mt. Kenya handed Power to Ruto not Raila

On that note, the Mt. Kenya community should not now come back to ask for Raila’s help after handing over power to the Bible-wielding Ruto who has seemingly has become a burden to them.

Kileleshwa MCA Robert Alai

The two – gauchao and Alai – said this in separate video clips after Martha Karua and Jeremiah Kioni distanced themselves from the report that took the committee 90 days to prepare and complete.

Raila described the findings as incomplete but a good start same to President Ruto who promised to fast-track its implementation.
