Sunday, December 17, 2023 -President William Ruto has confessed doing nothing to control fuel prices in the country.
Speaking in Kisii County on Saturday December 16, Ruto told off the Members of Parliament MPs who had heaped praises at him for lowering Petrol prices. He said he had done absolutely nothing to regulate the fuel.
He added that price movement up and down are dictated by global forces and that this is way above his reach.
“Do not clap for me because fuel prices is not my work. This is someone’s else job. I cannot lower nor raise fuel prices.
“Those praising me are cheating the people. And the biggest problem we have in this country are these leaders because they lie unnecessarily,” Ruto said.
The head of State was hit by shock as MP Zaheer Jhanda was badly heckled when defending him over fuel prices and the cost of living.
Jhanda struggled all through to address residents the moment he claimed that fuel prices should be a credit for William Ruto.
