Friday, January 26, 2024 -President William Ruto’s rally in Kiutine Meru County was interrupted by noise makers.
In a video clip seen by this desk on Friday noon, a visibly angry head of State is heard lecturing a section of youths in the crowd to stop heckling.

“Starting today I don’t want to hear you making noise in my meetings. You have a chance to change leadership when election comes in 2027. Right now there are no any elections in the country,” President Ruto charged.

He told the chanting youths to take their behaviour to the Azimio meetings where chaos thrives.
“Take noise to Azimio meetings and rallies not In UDA meetings. It is in ODM where this nonsense is allowed,” Ruto added.
But in a rejoinder, ODM which is in Taita Taveta County since yesterday, responded to the remarks wondering why President Ruto had to invoke their name.

“ODM was just chilling reaching out to the people in Taita Taveta without shouting and ranting, until it was mentioned and made more and more bigger. We are engaged in serious business at the Coast and we shall not be drawn into petty politics,” ODM hit back.

Chief Justice Martha Koome in Court

Ruto, seemingly, had a difficult day as courts thrashed two pillar cases his government had lodged.

The two appeals include the housing levy as well as police deployment to Haiti.
The court noted that the two exercises were unconstitutional.
