Kang’ata officially goes back to Tangatanga

Sunday, January 17, 2021 -Senator Irungu Kang’ata has finally come out clearly to champion for Deputy President William Ruto’s 2022 Presidency.

The lawmaker who has been under attack for the infamous anti-BBI leaked letter noted that he is still a deputy President William Ruto top ally from Mt. Kenya and cannot change his loyalty to someone else.

“I was since 2013 Deputy President William Ruto’s chief marketer in Mt Kenya. I was a founder member of Tangatanga,” Kang’ata told the Nation.

Murang’a senator Irungu Kang’ata.

He added that Mt. Kenya Region cannot vote for anyone else apart from Dr. William Ruto because of  the kind of work he(Ruto) has done for the community as a true friend. He also pointed out that Ruto has cemented friendship with a large section of Kikuyus.

“The candidate that has visited the region more and addressed our economic concerns will get the votes. The people on the ground have decided,” he added.

The Senator who is now said to be eying the Murang’a gubernetorial seat seems to have decided to switch to a side that he thinks will propel him to the position in 2022.

DPs continued inroads in Central Region has helped increase his popularity on the ground making it hard for anyone to cross in between.

It is also turning out that the Building Bridges Initiative BBI may have a difficult time selling in Mt. Kenya due to Ruto’s influence on the ground.
